Contact Lens Fittings and Exams

About Contact Lenses

Contact lens materials and designs are always changing. This allows more options for our patients.

Contact lenses can make certain activities more enjoyable (eg. sports, social outings) and depending on your prescription can sometimes enhance your vision compared to a pair of glasses.

Contact lenses may be worn on different wearing schedules including daily or monthly planned replacement. There are contacts available to correct; near-sightedness, far-sightedness, astigmatism and presbyopia (bifocal).

Custom Fittings

Every eye is different and that is why we offer customized fittings and exams which include testing with special equipment to determine the parameters of your eyes in order to determine the best contact lens for your eyes.

Our contact lens fittings include a minimum of three appointments over a year period. It is of the utmost importance that the contact lenses fit properly and that you are taught to safely insert, remove and care for them.

It is always highly recommended to have a pair of glasses as back up to your contact lenses in cases of eye infections.
